Escaping the last phase spider from the cave, we set off agin on Tharg's mystical instinct trail. Along the way we found patches of disturbed earth with human footprints around them, and heading off into the marsh.
Undead naturally spawn where there is an abundance of negative energy and dead bodies, but usually stay where they are. It is worrying to see After a short debate on the nature of distance and travel time, the party follow the hill around to the south, out of the mists, where they identify the direction of the town. Once in town, Anathema harvests a collection of abandoned farmland where naturally hybridized plants grow, and swamp crops for Tharg to cook.
Wild Barleyrice (a cereal crop hybrid), Feral Squash (cross-pollinated by swamp gourds), Acrid hemp (a flax plant with a very strong scent), Kudzu (an aggressively growing wild bean), Krangberries (small hard fruit that look like a little evil pink brain), Mistcress (a form of watercress that grows into the air), Horned Melons (a mutant strain with a spiky exterior with bright yellow streaks), Spiral Cucumbers and Homunculus Tomatoes (the fruits grow little vestigial arms and legs that wiggle about).
They then went to a secure building in town and Anathema had a long chat with Brag about his newly zombified state. The party got the locals to guard them while they entered the mirror, where the party thief remembered the password to the security measures, and they reset the password themselves. Then they started looking through Albrek's notes and belongings.
