Previously: Taking down a small-town gangster
The party continued down the road towards Triboar and the festival, encountering some cows in a field whose blood was being sucked by stirges. The unusual behaviour of the bloodsuckers indicated that they had a nest in nearby woods.
The party conversed with the cows, before deciding to buy them from their drunkard farmer owner for 30gp for the four cows. Sending the cows back to Westbridge with a passing townsman, (to Justine as a wedding gift,) they were about to move on when they noticed the stirges attacking the farm.
On their return to the farm, they found the farmer sucked dry of blood and decided that they would need to fight these creatures. They approached the wood, using Tharg to get close. He splattered them all, including the nest, and had to find a stream to wash himself off.
After that, they explored the now abandoned farm.
