Aimo's backstory
I grew up near the outskirts of one of the larger cities of the Great forest. The civilizations of the region existed in less dense parts of the forest, often bordering plains. My city was one such as this, with the Great Forest just outside my door, and the banks of the Great River only a short walk away.
My twin brother Jukka (Yoo-kah) was murdered at the hands of the local mafia for a petty slight/crime. In my despair, I spiralled into a depression, isolating myself from my community and driving myself mad with rage and grief. I was alone with my thoughts for months, spending time alone in the Great Forest and in my cottage. I came to a conclusion, after a while and it was that the people who did this did not deserve to live. They showed no mercy to my brother, who had previously done no harm to them. It was just the luck of the draw that he managed to upset them on a bad day.
I made contact with the criminal underground, hoping to hire a bounty hunter to take out the thug(s) who killed my brother, as well as the one who executed the order. There was no hunter who was willing to risk the wrath of the mafia, however, if not for fear of their own life, then for those of their own loved ones. The mafia was powerful and wealthy and feared. I knew this. I knew this -- but they killed my brother. So I took matters into my own hands.
I did avenge my brother, taking down more than a few other members of the mafia with me, and I despise organized crime to this day. I guess I avoided suspicion, since I wasn’t exactly a well known bounty hunter at the time. I don’t know if I’ve made myself a target by doing so, as I fled the city after finishing the deed, and I don’t much care. If my actions have consequences I’ll deal with them when they catch up with me. For now, I’ll go on my way. Hunting suits me just fine.
