Personal history
Onaja was born into the royal family of Ashia Empire as a princess. At a young age, Onaja knew that she was destined to rule the empire because she was an only child.
As an adolescent, Onaja survived an assassination attempt in the streets of Siedor . A civilian had lunged towards her with a dagger only to be stopped and promptly killed by a nearby soldier named Rasula . Onaja began pursuing a relationship with the young soldier shortly after the incident.
A few years later, Onaja's mother had passed away and Rasula had been promoted to general. Onaja proposed to Rasula and he joined the royal family. They had their first child, Okueti , four years before Onaja's father retired his leadership.
After nine years of Onaja's queenship, their daughter went missing. According to the searching squad, by the time they had located Princess Okueti, it was too late. The perpetrators were executed without a trial. With the loss of their only heir, the king and queen began to fear for their dynasty and royal lineage.
It wasn't long before Onaja gave birth to their second child, Tuleel. Onaja's failure to preserve her first heir motivated her to keep the new prince heavily protected.
A few years after the birth of Tuleel, Onaja and Rasula began an expansion campaign for the empire that involved absorbing the smaller settlements that surrounded the Ashia Empire. Some of these settlements agreed to their absorption happily. Some agreed out of fear. Others opposed the empire and refused to surrender their governments and territories to the larger empire. At Onaja's command, these settlements were forcibly invaded and easily taken by Ashia. Civilians were killed and held hostage until the smaller armies surrendered. Many living in these settlements resent the royal family for this. These campaigns are still in action today, and they are still controversial throughout the empire.
Recently, Rasula was struck with a strong illness and confined to the medical bay by the royal medic for several months. A few months in, the king's health began to suddenly improve. Each day, he was recovering drastically, and Onaja's fears for his life were relieved. After these improvements, no one expected to find him dead near the end of the month.
Onaja wasn't convinced that it wasn't the sickness that had truly killed her husband. Instead, she suspected the royal medic had purposely slipped something into his treatments. Outside the public eye, she had the medic executed and promptly hired a replacement.
Uninterested in remarrying, Onaja knows that Prince Tuleel is her final possible heir. To preserve her dynasty and bloodline, she is encouraging her son to find a suitress. She has began arranging meetings with female Argonians of noble lineage for him.
