General Whanuï
During the War of Balance, one name echoed through the blood-soaked battlegrounds of Pludeo - Wanuï. This formidable figure, known for his ruthless demeanor and insatiable appetite for destruction, rose to prominence as the leader of the elite faction within the Destruction Army. With a retinue of 888 merciless killers under his command. Wanuï struck fear even into the hearts of his fellow warriors.
Yet, it was during the treacherous days of the alliance between Destruction and Order that Wanuï's true cunning and brutality came to the forefront. In a shocking act of betrayal, he targeted and slew several commanding officers, delivering a crippling blow to the unity of the alliance. His actions reverberated through the ranks, hastening the alliance's eventual demise.
With the alliance crumbled and the path to power laid bare, Wanuï seized the opportunity to establish his dominion over the desolated landscape. He envisioned and founded the city Whenau Tenei. His rule was defined by terror, maintained through sheer force, fear, and cruelty. The city's inhabitants, reduced to mere slaves, dwelled in squalid, ramshackle structures, toiling relentlessly under the ever-present specter of death.
Yet, as the years pressed on and the burdens of age crept upon him, Wanuï found himself grappling with an unfamiliar fear - the fear of losing his power. In a moment of strange apprehension, he chose to relinquish his tyrannical throne and disappeared into the unforgiving expanses of Pludeo. His motives remained shrouded in mystery, but it was clear that he sought to elude any potential threats that might befall him or his fading strength.
Before fading into obscurity, Wanuï orchestrated a macabre tradition known as "Ku te Mate." This gruesome rite forced his offspring into a savage contest, a battle to the death that would determine his successor. The survivor would take the name WanuÏ as theirs and emerge as the new ruler of Whenau Tenei, perpetuating a cycle of violence and betrayal among the Wanuï family.
Wanuï's legacy, steeped in bloodshed and an insatiable lust for power, cast a long and dark shadow over the city he once ruled. Whenau Tenei became a place where fear, oppression, and ceaseless violence reigned supreme, a chilling testament to the unrelenting pursuit of dominion in the unforgiving world of Pludeo.
Leader of the Ariki
Whanuï, the most dreaded figure among the Ariki, reigned as the paramount leader of this council. Seated atop his throne in Whenau Tenei, he bore the prestigious title of Rangata, commanding both fear and respect. Under his unwavering dominion, no aspiring Ariki could establish a new Whare without Whanuï's solemn consent, for to defy the Rangata meant inviting the implacable Wrath of the Rangata.
