The city of Caris covers an area of approximately 264 acres, with a total population of 16 thousand people. The population is largely human (37%), with smaller numbers of halflings (20%), elves (18%), dwarves (10%), gnomes (7%), half-elves (5%) and half-orcs (3%).

The city boasts 3 walled districts: Old town, Noble District, and Market District. there are 3 gates into the city with each district having another gate to enter.

Most of the inhabitants are craftsmen or traders who rely on Caris' central location to keep a steady supply of customers.

The Lords of Adventure have a large headquarters located in the city. Also the Bank of Aeroden is the largest, multi-national banking organization that boasts some of the greatest security for personal belongings.
Geography
Located near the fork of two major rivers, Caris is a bustling trading hub that connects much of the southern kingdoms to the inland sea. It is located in a flat plain that is covered with plenty of farms and small villages.
