Vyatichs

Most Vyatian are short and muscular, with a hardy physique. They commonly had dusky skin, dark eyes, and thick black hair. Men were especially hairy and might maintain a thick dark beard; baldness was virtually unknown in their culture. Women often wore their hair long and elaborately plaited. The Vyatian people first settled in the Northwest of Pohet in Duchy of Bojka, Drasnia, The Free Lands, Republic of Vacatich, although many live in Jasite lands.

Vyatian people tend to have a grim or brooding exterior. Once being the slaves of the Jasite were forced to do the bulk of the manual labor for their masters. Small groups of Vyatians were able to flee to the harsher landscapes to the west and a small band long ago explored the dark Araga river delta and founded modern-day Drasnia. The high mortality rate of their ancestors has led to the reputation of those interested in undeath or necromancy to be Vyatian, especially after the infamous Barrow Lord is believed to be an old Vyatian warlord who used dark energies to survive being beheaded. This reputation, however, has led to the thriving industry of witch hunters or undead slayers in Vyatian society.
