Part 10: Godslayer Giratina
General Summary
Whilst traveling through Ultra Space, the party is overwhelmed by a traveling Stakataka, the bricks forcing the party to split. The diverged team of Astral, Jasper, Layla, and Ava were transported to the Sinnoh region. The group was dumped on the highlands of Mt. Coronet, caught in a titanic struggle between the Original One and that region's Giratina. Fire and destruction raged across the region as a result. To the horror of all in attendance, Giratina is victorious in its violent uprising, ripping out the Original One's throat. This triggers a chain reaction in the natural order, including the simultaneous death of all Arceus across the multiverse and overwhelming agony to any and all elemental specialists.
In an attempt to make their way out of danger, Layla and Astral attempt to scale the mountain. However, unfortunate circumstances leave Astral at death's door, with Layla sacrificing her mobility to save the channeler from perishing. Layla and Astral are spotted by the victorious Giratina, and the duo are banished to the Distortion World. Finally seeing the decayed corpse of the Original One, Ava enters a catatonic state. Jasper drags Ava into the caverns of Mt. Coronet, attempting to escape the perilous conditions in any way possible. Unfortunately, the pair end up attracting a horde of feral Sableye in a dark cavern. Still reeling from the death of what could only be described as the deity, Ava enters a berserker state fueled by blind rage. She dispatches of all the Sableye, gruesomely shattering the head of one particularly-annoying Sableye. This horrifies herself, Lucian, Jasper, and Shiny. This careless theft of life creates a rift between Ava and her traveling companions that she must now work to repair.
