Thieves' Guild
The Thieves' Guild is an illicit organization that operates in and around the city-state of Shangri-La. It's based out of the Rat's Nest, a secret hideout that moves every several years. Currently, the Rat's Nest is hidden underneath the Crimson Tail Tavern in Shangri-La's slums, Red Run. They deal is stealing and smuggling goods, using their network of members and ruins of the Old City beneath the streets.
The guild is structured much like a family and follows certain codes or credos. They are as follows:
1. Once you're kinfolk, you're kinfolk, forever.
2. An offering is given to the Nameless One when kin recognize each other.
3. We help in the matters of kinfolk, whether directly or indirectly.
4. Kin may not commit harm against kin. We walk away from they who have done harm and no help is given to the offender. We watch and we remember.
The Guild has "relatives" in other cities across Polnarus, including the Night Legion in Serpentine, The City of a Thousand Roads. Kin, when they travel, recognize each other through Thieves' Cant, a non-verbal language of hand signs and small representative pictures.
