Draft 3, Desert Behomth

Riz Ath would tell a tale that survived Thánatos "The Destroyer". Before Riz became the first Burgeonend he learned this myth.
The Destroyer, despite it's name, did create the sandy wasteland we know he Hazfen as today. The truth goes differently than simply the great Thánatos obliterating the very land. While wandering the desert in flight of Thánatos Riz learned that it was the first Sigh who created the desert. Riz learned this truth of the first Sigh from a Locatha. The Locatha lived in the Hazfen River. While resting near the rivers shores the Locatha approached them. After introductions and a shared meal, the Locatha shared the tale of the first Sigh.
It was said that the Hazfen was a great sea of water in the first era. The Locatha people were slaves in the first era, just as in many era's. The nation that ruled over them banned the Locatha from learning the arcane. No Locatha could own property, or leave the Hazfen Sea. Locatha were used as frontline soldiers and explorers for dangerous caverns and abyssal rifts. Very few survived either. In one such rift though a certain Locatha found a portal to another world. Unlike the many portal to the elemental plane of water, this one led somewhere sinsiter. The Abyss.
The Locatha who found it is lost to history. Whether it was his very flesh, soul, or minor disturbance, she found him, and our world. She was the orignal, The Behomoth Queen. She tore open the portal to the bottom of the Hazfen Sea and unleashed havoc. Something unique occured with the portal she tore through, it connected the world completly unlike many natural planar portals. The Hazfen Sea began to drain into whatever deep layer of The Infinte Abyss she had come from. Now many era's later, the desert is all history remebers. The The Behomoth Queen still rests in the Sigh Dungeon, creating more of her kin, the Sigh. Riz was said to shutter at this. He would always end his tales the same.
Let us pray that like The Temple, she stays far away with only slight affect on the world. Should she wake, whatever era it may be, will end.
