Tree of Snalesh

Purpose / Function

The tree of Snalesh is the beating heart of the Spirit of Snalesh and located in the middle of the City of Snalesh. Here the Drastrix Fruit is grown on the gargantuan branches of the tree.

Special Properties

The tree is the focal point for an arcane phenomena which encompasses the entire Snaleshi Swamps. The field is considered to be a by product of the metaphysical nature of the Tree of Snalesh. The trees creation of Drastrix Fruit interferes with the ambient Zeal in the atmosphere, causing the field.
Inside the field, which roughly encompasses the entire region, teleportation spells and magic items which allow for arcane transportation, fail. Slivers of Divinity also take longer to rest and recover their abilities. Why the tree interferes with these things specifically, is unknown.

History

Upon the death of Snalesh during a cataclysmic battle with The Destroyer, the sapling began to grow from the corpse of the dead spirit. This sapling would be nurtured by the followers of Snalesh, growing into a mighty tree which dominates the skyline of the city it is located.

Tourism

Many wealthy nobles and important people travel to Snalesh to acquire Drastrix Fruit from the merchants and growers which produce it. The pure expense of Drastrix Fruit is so high that the city is often overlooked by adventurers, who would rather buy magic items and kill things to gain power from The Temple.
