OttL Session 37: Impressing Ollie

General Summary

Thaiva Phenol and Caerbor Klaedris reunite with Zarinn Klaedris. Emotions run deep.
Zarinn Klaedris tells Thaiva Phenol she could easily become a queen if she were so inclined
Hobbs tells Caerbor Klaedris to get out of his head and start acting more like a boss. The lesson seems to stick this time.
Caerbor Klaedris has a breakdown and goes on a tirade about how Alibor Klaedris didn't think highly enough of him to save him from Esma.

Olidammara talks about the philosophy of godhood with Natsu. In particular, the topic of why the gods so often sit back and do nothing as good things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people.
The central goal is to prevent stagnation in the outer planes - The gods rely on conflict in the inner planes to trickle upward into the outer planes to keep a fresh flow of new faces and ideas coming towards their immortal societies
The debate happening amongst the gods is whether they should stop Haru, the Avatar of The Age of Coalescence, or allow the chaos to continue, and leave it to be solved by mortals
He presents arguments for both sides, and asks for opinions from the others
Olidammara himself doesnt want the planes to merge - his home is just how he wants it. However he also thinks it is not the gods' place to butt in on this matter. He is therefore undecided
Hobbs immediately calls him out on this - Olidammara HAS picked a side, simply by helping the crew and telling them what is going on.
Hobbs also talks about how his role as a chef is also to serve as a ship counselor - he plans to "fix" Legosi next.
Olidammara asks the crew to impress him

After some back and forth, Natsu offers to fight Olidammara. Ollie immediately goads Thaiva Phenol into ordering the rest of the crew to join in. Even Zarinn Klaedris helps
Olidammara is immensely powerful - even going easy on the party, his damage output is immense. He gradually ramps up over time, using more and more legendary actions as rounds go on
The turning point comes shortly after Hobbs knocks Olidammara prone - on his next move he stands up and casts hold person at 8th level, to hit almost the entire party.
The party eventually concedes, but they put up a pretty solid fight on the way there, and Olidammara is suitably impressed and distributes sirensong silencers - earrings that grant advantage on saves against charm effects - to the entire party. He also gives Vannis a red mask
