Banyak Principality

On the islands off northeatern Taretza is a collection of smaller towns and cities that make up a nation of merchants known as the Banyak Principality. The principality is colorful and vibrant with nature and cultural interests.

Structure

Banyak is a combination of part principality, part republic, and part plutocracy. In essence, they are an alliance of trade factions that rule the islands towards the eastern side of the continent. They then elect one of their members that act as a final ruler, or prince. They focus mostly on trade and friendly relations with countries around them and make use of their unique products and resources to further their wealth.

Culture

The people of Banyak are mostly merchants and others looking for opportunities to make money or simply enjoy a quite life in the jungle islands of the region. The people of banyak believe that one should be free to take the actions one wishes, but to respect the freedom of others.
