Libertalia is the kingdom of knowledge. The buildings are vast, capable of holding any number of people or items. The people believe in learning above all else, and will protect what is theirs from those who wish them harm.

Iolite knows everything, so they say. To that end, the buildings are often vast, capable of holding numerous people or objects. All things are valuable to her people, and they believe that grouping together lets the most knowledge flourish.

Special Effects:

Every city is laid out in a grid fashion, with every street marked and clearly labelled. All Libraries are linked through portals, and can be accessed by those with correct library cards. The cards are free to get, but are only given to proven scholars as portal use can be dangerous. There are no beggars, or homeless people in Libertalia.

Outside Sanctuary is a small forest of stone trees. These trees are covered in names, and every new visitor is welcome to carve their name upon a tree to mark that they have visited. This marking is said to grant a blessing, though there is no confirmed stories of such.

Characters from Libertalia gain the ability to speak/write 3 additional languages at character creation.

Structure

Libertalia has the most typical structure of authority. It combines someone with absolute power like a king, with the local level details of a mayor. This title is inherited, but there is a veto allowed by other high ranking politicans. If there is a veto, the public gets to hold a vote, and anyone who applies is welcome to campaign for 6 months before the vote is held.

Culture

Libertalia is all about unity and working together. People spend their free time helping the community. There are often public events put on, like plays, free for everyone to enjoy. Most of the nation is maintained by people from within, who take pride in making sure their home is welcoming to everyone. They also enjoy reading and find pleasure in learning new things.

Demography and Population

As the smallest nation, the population is much closer together than in any other nation. A large amount of them live near the coast.

Religion

In Libertalia, religion is both everywhere and nowhere. The people do not openly pray, but do often visit the temples, which house the largest libraries in the kingdoms. Whenever a new fact is learnt, the people will offer a little prayer to Iolite. She is the most commonly seen goddess, and while her blessings rarely touch the individual, her cities are the most protected of all the cities in the world. Due to her direct influence, there are no beggars in any city in Libertalia, as she personally gives them clothing and work.
