Modon
Modon is the kingdom of magic. The buildings are tall and covered in glowing runes. His people can be callous about death, but fill their lives with wonder to make the most of the time they do have.
Lazuli can be quarrelsome. His kingdom is filled with strange buildings and glowing runes. His people know that life can be wonderous, but it also must end, so often these people care little for death, as all must go there eventually. Modon is a guild style nation, with the Arcanist guild running things. The leader of this guild is elected by their peers, and are only eligible after a certain amount of years and magical expertise. There is endless vying for these positions, and you can never be sure some magical event was an accident or an attempt on a life. There is no shame in this, and people will actually respect you less if you play fair.
Culture
Magic infuses everything, and the people here think they are superior because of it. They enjoy bright colours and impressive displays. People here can be seen indulging in dangerous activities because they do not fear death. One of the most unique activities common in these lands is the Sky Writing competition, where you fly into the air, cancel your flight spell and try to spell the longest word with magic smoke on your way down. The death rate is 70%, and they never tell newcomers this.
Demography and Population
The population lives in the middle of the nation and towards the coast. Mostly they live around Vivid Lens and the Celestial Strand.
Religion
In Modon, religion is magic. Anyone practicing magic is seen as worshipping Lazuli. They do believe that gods created the world, and they show their appreciation by trying to recreate such incredible feats through magic. The only time they openly practice religion is when the magical storms rage. Then the people go out into the streets to watch in rapture. Lazuli can not often be seen, as he is incredibly aloof, but a sure-fire way to contact him is to cause a large magical effect, most commonly an explosion. He always shows up to find out what happened, and to hopefully be surprised by a new discovery.
