Delian Fields

Previously regular plains, the Delian fields were blessed with the magic of Aurum when one of his descendants used her magic to wildly shove creation into them. Now they burst with fertility, allowing all seeds to grow in their soil.

Geography

Beautiful plains that lead down to the sea, cut through by a river delta that houses Arvum, capital of Arator, the Delian plains are a natural wonder.

Ecosystem Cycles

There are no true seasons in the Delian plains, with growth and prosper happening year round. The plants need no time to recuperate thanks to the magic in the soil, and so a fruit tree that is picked from may bear fruit again only a month later.

Fauna & Flora

While the fertile magic that gave life to plants is a miracle, it also gave life to all sorts of creatures that now roam the Delian fields, hiding in plain sight, their pelts now sprouting plants as a form of camoflauge. Workers in the fields have learned to be careful of shifting stalks of wheat.

History

The first queen of Arator walked on a pilgrimage from the ruins of a great Andalusian city, the only survivor. A descendant of Aurum, in fact, his daughter, so she claimed, she fed her magic in to the land to try and grow something to eat, as starving and desperate she collapsed just as reached the spot which would become Arvum. And so, she created the Delian fields with her desperate attempt to live. She would go on to become the first queen of Arator and guide the last few desperate survivors of humanity into a new age.
