Divine Symbols & Sigils

The people of Favus symbolize Ibu'fen with herbal plants in full bloom. The Church of Immortal Sorrow uses the circlet that the Sorrow wears and a tree or flower in bloom to depict Ibu'fen.

Tenets of Faith

Ibu’fen has two separate groups of followers, each having their own idea of what indicates faith: The Church of Immortal Sorrow and the people of Favus. The Church of Immortal Sorrow are fanatics who believe that since she gave them life, she is only loaning them their lives, and thus they have no right to do anything, harmful or helpful, to themselves or others. They practice no healing, live lives of minimalistic tendencies, and try to worship her with everything they do. Their temples to her are grand and staffed fully, and they have several festivals dedicated to her. On Favus, they believe Ibu’fen gave them life so that they could use her power to help people. They are much more self-sufficient, and while large cities do have temples dedicated to her, and each of the four schools has a temple building, small towns have only homegrown altars that aren’t staffed by trained clerics, only visited by townspeople who wish to give thanks. In other cities and countries temples to Ibu’fen in major cities and nearly every healer keeps an altar.

Holidays

There are several holidays in Ibu'fen's name. The major one celebrated worldwide is the Renewal, which occurs on the first of Rosi and is when people pray to Ibu'fen to heal any maladies that might follow them into the new year, and bless them so that no terrrible injuries or accidents occur in the coming year. On Apis the eleventh day of Agripa is known as The Birth Day and is an annual celebration of the birth of elves, and in Favus the graduation from the four main schools occurs throughout the month of Lilia, and calls for many feasts in Ibu'fen's name.

They have come together to creat incredible things, with Miran and Samira being their daughters, but they have also caused mass amounts of destruction when angered with each other. Ibu'fen is also close friends with Kalian, their respective domains overlapping with the prospect of life.

Mannerisms

Ibu’fen is known as a goddess who makes difficult choices, who makes sacrifices and stands up in battle. She cares for her patients, but also knows when to let them go to Nadin. She is depicted in art as an elderly woman, surrounded by either medicinal herbs in bloom or elves in prayer. Many think that she is the one responsible for the curse that befell the Andalusian Empire.
