Trinary Federation

The Trinary Federation is the most high-level political structure of Alpha Centauri. It was established mostly for matters of foreign policy, where it can be beneficial to present a united front when dealing with the powers of Sol, be it nation states or corporations. Due to the immense round times for travel and communication between the systems, not much diplomacy actually takes place. On a day to day basis, the Federation mostly works on maintaining interstellar travel in cooperation with the New Worlds Foundation. Apart from that it is somewhat involved in domestic matters such as interplanetary transport and resource distribution, though this mostly takes the form of providing a frame in which planetary representatives can negotiate.
