Muck
Off the grid of law and far from the cares of nobles lies the nearly abandoned town of Muck... Once a populated lumber town within the Pine Top Forest, now lays in ruins. Not always named Muck, this popular northern lumber towns original name was Pinewood Court. Renamed Muck after the destruction left by Kalameet and The Corruption of the Calamity Stone, the logging town would never be the same again. Now just a shadow of its former self, this desolate waste of a town is home to famine and disease. The surrounding pine trees that were once harvested have all rotted away, and many of the residents have fell victim to the many horrors of an almost apocalyptic situation. Many people fled the area leaving their homes and businesses to rot. Packing what could fit in the saddle bags of horses and the weight capacity of a wagon, Muck was abandoned. Leaving almost overnight, the murky fog and foul smell has created the perfect ghost town. Although some are believed to still inhabit this forgotten place, its rumored that they are also shells of what were once human. A few church groups, salvations and relief organizations have tried helping rebuild over the last couple centuries, but to no avail. Contact with this polluted area should be avoided, as little is known of this shambled town these days. Any who seek refuge in the dirty shacks that remain of Muck these days are either desperate to escape the elements or lost.
Demographics
The surviving population of Muck have a terrible reputation of being cast out. None really no the makeup of the inhabitants now, and if there are any left. The known statistical population number that has been recorded, is actually an estimated number and not an actual count.
Infrastructure
Large lumberyards are said to still stand til this day, and even a few water mills are left. But they haven't produced any substantial wood in over 275 years. The rust and filth have overcome any possibility of restoration to these once powerful production lines.
Assets
Home to the Pinemill Treasury, the third largest treasury in the Limani region. Housing some 1.5 million gold in the peak of its industry, its believed to still hold nearly 30% of that total in the locked vault below the Pinemill Treasury.
Architecture
Almost all the architecture in the area was built from the lush forest of pine from the area. From foundation up, the main resource for building was pine.
