Session 1: The Ballad of Arhead Holm Report
General Summary
Zarantyr 1st, 998
As the party gathered together, right away both Sylrieth and Firehearth noticed Sparhawks secret of being a Dragonborn. Sylrieth elected not to say anything, while Fireheart became disgusted with his "lower class" appearance. Sandy, however, did not notice that he was, in fact, a Dragonborn. After a rocky start between Sylrieth, Fireheart, and Sparhawk, they all walked into the Adventurers Guild office where Sandy decided to play music for all of the patrons. Upon seeing the bar, both Fireheart and Sparhawk walked over to get some drinks, leaving Sylrieth to deal with the party registration. After insulting the clerk, Vedrer Glev, Sparhawk intervened and gave the party the name of "Scouting Party 5", to the clerks dismay. After bartering with Vedrer about the price of the registration fee and having Fireheart pay for it, they accepted a quest from the questboard to take care of a disturbance at the Ruins of Vanora Castle.
Zarantyr 4th, 998
After travelling for three days and Fireheart taming a wild stag, they were able to find the ruins, and after some struggling were able to get inside and hearing some knocking within the ruins, were able to get inside, though Sparhawk with Sandy (who had taken a liking to Sparhawk due to his kind nature) and Fireheart with Sylrieth became separated on different sides of the castle. Unfortunately, due to the amount of dust that gathered over the centuries of the castle being left as it is, Sparhawks allergy started acting up, though fortunately he was able to stave it off for some time. Shortly after, they were able to find each other, which allowed them to try to find the source of the noise. After looking through parts of the castle, and being deafened by Sparhawks very loud lightning sneezes, they found that the sound was coming from a set of stairs that lead downward into one of the basements. As they wandered through, Sandy found a piece of paper that had strange writing on it along with several numbers, most of which were a repeating number: 4082. Being very annoyed with the constant sneezing and deafening, Fireheart provided Sparhawk with some medicine to temporarily stop his allergies, which seemed to help for the time being. Shortly afterwards, the party found the source of the noise: a duo of Abyssal Chickens, likely remnants from an ancient war. Luckily, the party were able to fell the two beasts, which leads us to the end of this session.Rewards Granted
