Life, Achievement/ Win
Facewreaker faces off against Orgekind in the Arena of Bones.
Session 64: Bone Throwdown
In the shadowfell, Ogrekind led you to the arena of bones which had “walked” into a sad looking riverside town, and instructed people specifically not to branch off and get into trouble. A skeleton referee announced the Ogrekind and his new opponent, Facewrecker, declaring a fight for Mr. Socko, a fight for honor. A toll of the dead, rung out, marking the start of the grudge match. As the fight started, Orgekind stifled Broggs attempt at a closeline, and choke slammed him into the ground. Adding insult to injury, he lifted Brogg up and threw him out of the ring, shattering a nearby skeleton. Round one ended with Orgekind hurling the ref himself at Brogg in a dazzling display of dominance. However, the tides began to shift in the second round as the ref announced a tag team requirement. Brogg called Tem into the ring who enlarged him and curled into a cannonball as Brogg threw him into Ogrekind. Tem struck him with his thunder gauntlets sending him into the ground, DBZ-style. Ogrekind, turned away from Brogg in feigned submission, just to wrap an arm around his neck, stunner him backwards, and attempt a round house kick. As limber as the kick was, Brogg reversed into a leg sweep sending him into the ground. On the third round, the ref instructed the fighters to incorporate injuriing an audience member in their fight. Brogg goaded Ogrekind into the crowd, immasculated a vampire spawn into handing over his slaves, and used the chained slaves to as a bola to send both Ogrekind and the slaves tumbling down the skull stairs ass over tea kettle. Brogg then proceeded to skate down the stairs using a stray goliath as a skateboard, did a kick flip and slammed the goliath down into Orgekind. Enraged, Ogrekind yelled at the goliath to stay straight, and swung him like a gold club at Brogg, only to lose his grip and send the goliath hurling through the air across the ring and into Sal, specifically. In the chaos, Sal notes Alaine smiling to herself, not even really acknowledging the chaos next to her. Fed up with the miss, Ogrekind simply turns and socks Brogg in the jaw.
Ultimately, as the toll rings for the end of the fight, it was Brogg’s arm raised as the victor. The ref hands him the championship belt, and awards him the Champion of Bones. A nearby well-to-do vampire who’d clearly lost a bet, threw a human head in frustration at Sal, which she luckily ducked under this time. Brogg and Ogrekind dramatically shake hands, and Orgekind removes his part of the curse from Brogg. He says he'll probably stick around, since there still several others that are bound to the curse, that Brogg should except to see real soon, and thus will need the help. As the curse is removed, everyone began to realize that there wasn’t some kind of arcane curse pact left as a barrier anymore, and several of the lower leveled creatures began to become aggressive. Ogrekind yelled to run as skeles, zombs, and vamp spawn began to swarm. Fighting through the skeletons and zombies, Orgekind ushered you out of the arena trying to think of how to leave, only coming up with the idea for Brogg to say his name three times. Brogg did so, not seeing how that would possibly work, and it didn’t. Orgekind admits he thought that would just work, as a behemoth made of corpses shambled out of the ground, busted through the coliseum wall and towered over the party.
Session 65: Shadowfell Scuffle
As a multitude of skeletons, zombies, and the like filter out of the arena, a titan of corpses vomits rotting flesh onto the party. Even still, with the help of Ogrekind, Alaine, and Axel, the party lopped off more and more of the behemoth, until Tem finishes it with a flash grenade, spattering zombie guts all over the walls of the coliseum and recently downed Eri. One of the final stragglers of the Behemith, a Golden Blind Artist (GBA), shambles forth as a golden tornado erupts from its head. Tem deduces it hopefully to be a gate back to the prime material, and instructs everyone to go through. On Eri’s way to the portal, just finishes off some remaining undead. However, right before destroying a seemingly innocuous undead husk, a stare into the abyss of the husks hollow eyes unleashes a psychological and physical trauma that ages the dragonborn by 4 years. Everyone makes their way towards the portal, but as Sal moves towards it, he sees a stone hand with Postie's spectral face in it. He approaches the hand and casts dispel magic on him to free him. Ogrekind grabs the GBA, and aims its neck stump at Sal like a vacuum cleaner. They run to the portal, but Postie is incapable of leaving. With the portal flickering and about to disappear, Sal lets go, allowing himself to be taken by the portal.
