Defeating Madadh-Ruadh--Barovia
General Summary
There's not a whole lot to say with this session, since it was pretty much just one combat! You managed to evade Madadh-Ruadh until you were close to the river, but he sneak attacked Rose from a tree and shredded her pretty badly. She wild shaped into a hawk and flew across the river, and then Constance, ball lightning, Constance, Vanya's sound burst, Constance, a summoned fire elemental, and Constance fucking devastated him. It was something. Throughout the fight, Vanya offered commentary to the watching faerie birds, who seemed highly amused.
Madadh-Ruadh got a few hits in on Constance (who's currently still taking bleed damage; Rose isn't because Vanya cast cure light wounds on her), but Rose closed in and nailed him to the ground with iron spike. He yielded in a panic, but she went at him with the ball lightning again and he disintegrated into a pile of leaves.
So, when last we left our heroes, Vanya was at full health, Rose was decidedly not at full health but not bleeding (and was still a hawk), Constance was in better shape than Rose but was bleeding 2 hp per round, and there was still a summoned fire elemental hanging around. Just for "healing Constance" logistics (not that it'll probably be an issue), Rose is 25 feet away from her and Vanya is 65 feet away and on the other side of the river.
