The Cupbearers
The Cupbearers are a heretical sect of the The Church of Ezra, located in the western forest of Richemulot. They believe that Ezra, after becoming a goddess, returned to the world in the guise of a mortal woman and had children of her own. They've dedicated their lives to researching her sacred bloodline and finding the "Vessels" who are descended from her. At least a few of them believe that Isolde is Ezra, making Rose a Vessel.
The Cupbearers you've met are:
Bernadette: The leader of the Cupbearers. She has firm ideas of where she can find Ezra's bloodline, and Isolde doesn't feature into them. She doesn't like the idea that Rose might draw some of her people into worshipping a false idea of Ezra, but since Rose doesn't seem inclined to start a cult of personality, she's agreed to live and let live. She's probably more kindly disposed to you now that you've saved Marcel from Falkovnia.
Frederic: a former jeweler. Isolde came to him and asked him to make Rose's ring, and then she'd defended him from wererats that had attacked; something about the way she'd done it had convinced him that she was Ezra, and he had joined the Cupbearers. Since Rose has the ring now, he's convinced that Rose is a Vessel of Ezra's sacred bloodline.
Ingrid: a Falkovnian refugee who Isolde and Samuel Covington saved from a labor camp. She's also convinced that Isolde is Ezra; you don't know if Frederic has told her his theories about Rose yet. Ingrid is intimidated by Bernadette, but Bernadette is protective of her (part of why she was so angry at Rose was because she was sure Rose was exploiting Ingrid).
Marcel and Helene Toussaint: a married couple who went to Falkovnia to investigate Samuel Covington's death and vanished in Silbervas. Bernadette had asked you to go to Falkovnia and find out what happened to them. Vanya discovered that they'd been captured by Ludzig's vampyres and liberated them with the rest of the feeding house. Marcel, who has spells of catatonia as a result of his trauma, ended up returning to Richemulot. Helene renounced Ezra, blaming her for everything she'd suffered, and asked Errol to make her a werewolf so that she would never be anyone's prey again. As far as Marcel knows, she went to Darkon to join the church's lawful evil inquisitorial sect.
