Ashbrand

Ashbrand is the magical greatsword once owned by the Efreeti warlord Rashmadan. Claimed by Killyn †  following Rashmadan's defeat at the hands of doomed 2 die, Ashbrand was the barbarians go to weapon during all combat, proving to be lethal against all foes and becoming a soft spot for the Ice Elf. The blade was destroyed by Mertion Hampton  during a failed prison break when the master wizad cast dispel magic on it. Its shattered remains are currently in the possession of Shan, and requires an incredibly hot forge with magical energy to rebuild.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

Ashbrand is a magical greatsword dealing 2d6+STRmod slashing damage and an additional 2d6 damage. Upon being drawn, Ashbrand begins to shimmer bright flames. This casts bright light for 10ft and dim light for an additional 10ft.

Manufacturing process

The blade was forged in the mighty smiths of the City of Brass, but to mend or reforge the blade in the material plane will require a centre of elemental magic such as a powerful volcano or vortex to the plane of fire. The reforging will also have to be done by a powerful spellcaster such as an artificer or master wizard.

History

Ashbrand is the firey greatsword formally belonging to the Efretti Rashmadan. Forged in the plane of fire by the Azer, this blade was used by its former master to destroy his foes. After his defeat to the hands of Doomed 2 Die, Killyn took possession of the blade and weilded it with great proficency.   Killyn lost the blade on the 4th Harvestyme when Mertion Hampton cast dispel magic on it during a failed prison break. The broken shards of the sword remained in Killyn's possession until their death, with the remains of the blade being taken by Shan. The blade can be reforged at a centre of magic fire.
