Theygor
Theygor is small fortified village on the western coast of the Duchy of Jameleska on the isle of Jotun. The town was home to hill giants who originally built this settlement as a raiding camp, but overtime the town become more known for its production of a strong liquor called Theygor Ale. The ancestral owner of Theygor and its surrounding farmsteads was the Tundra Baron, who swore allegiance to The Snow Lord, but since 1051 a coalition of goblin clans led by Morgaton's Boys have taken over the settlement, and it made it a goblinoid only settlement whilst maintaining alliances with Jameleska.
Tundra Baron
The Tundra Baron was a callous and hideous ruler who had been pushing the boundaries of acceptability of Jotun law for centuries. Theygor actively practiced Slavery on a small scale with no repercussions from the Jotun nobility. This intensified when Quistas of the Jameleskan Syndicate made a pact with the Baron, and used his criminal network to kidnap people and take them back to Theygor as thralls. The Baron sided willingly with The Snow Lord during his war, seeing it as an opportunity to expand his business interests and power status within Jotun. The Baron was killed in the battle of Theygor when Azura trapped him within a wall of fire.Points of Interest
Theygor was always a backwater town with little of note about it. A small fighting bit had been built near the raiding docks, and a humanoid inn and keep had been built for Quistas and his Skallen. The Jarls hall is an impressive piece of late Jotun woodwork and construction and had been standing since the first century of the third era until its partial destruction in the battle of theygor.Assets
The most important asset to this forgettable and hidden settlement is its massive brewery that once produced Theygor Ale. To Giants, this was considered a strong and pleasant ale, but to creatures smaller than them it had incredibly intoxifying effects.Demographics
Theygor was once majority hill giant, with supporting populations of ogres. Humans made the majority of the slave population with a handful of goblinoids. When Morganton became a warrior of the Tundra Baron, he refused to allow enslaved goblinoids, so most were freed and joined his warband.
With the giants kicked out of the settlement and the slaves returned to freedom, the village is now composed of goblinoids who are settling down in the village, with hobgoblins and goblins forming the bulk of the settlers.
Defences
Theygor was once defended by Hill Giant and ogre warriors who pledged allegiance to the Tundra Baron. Those who survived the battle of Theygor retreated to Jastingrag where they would later be killed. The village is now protected by a rebuilt wooden palisade and members of Morganton’s Boys.
