Sea of Brass

Here lies a temperate sea flush with Primal Earth, boasting the greatest number of islands across all the archipelagos. It is a place of great mineral wealth and a center of industry on Marus. Its booming population of Marati makes for a rowdy but capable foundation for society devoid of the cohesive leadership found elsewhere. There are countless islands in the region with many unchecked issues festering at their hearts.
— Study of the Relic Seas by Salem Diadios

These waters are the ancestral home of the Marati and the birthplace of the monkey people. It is where Draxis first rose to power over Isla De Caveira. This inaccessible island would hold him until his eventual escape and subsequent imprisonment within the fortress isle of Juhnmuk Prison. The region and its islands are known for their roving bands of bandit craftsmen who strip entire islands of their minerals to produce their contracted works. While the Aviator's Society operates several shipyards out of the area, Port Manaka being their largest and most prolific operation. The region's focus on production and industry has left many other aspects of civilization lacking with many islands relying on food imported from the Lily Forest to survive. At its border, where the waters of the Veiled Sea and the Strait of Embers mingle with the Brass Sea, there lies the volcanic Serpent's Trail and its path to home of Quain, The Ever-Soul.

They are objectively awful, but I do kind of love the idea of bandit craftsmen.
