Here lies an ethereal sea infused with Primal Light and emanating an eerie grayish-white glow. This region was once the heart of a grand city, but now reduced to the Flooded Acropolis, it is home to a mad dying god and his Sodden progeny. The cursed waters ruled by Acropolis threaten to steal the life of those who dare search the ruined megalopolis for hidden secrets from an archaic age before the Relic Arts. — Study of the Relic Seas by Salem Diadios
These unseetling and haunted waters are the birthplace of the
Sodden and home to their mad creator
Acropolis. A region, like so many others, that is only entered into by the experienced or the foolhardy. Its ethereal glowing waters threatens to sap the life and strength from any still-living creatures that touch it, the Echo of the Sea claiming the dead to birth a
Sodden in their place. The Deadfolk and their distant kin the
Veil Wraiths are immune to the water's effects and can be found drifting all across the area.
Acropolis now rarely leaves the confines of his city, the
Flooded Acropolis , yet the mad dying god has become a wound on the very Realm. His murmured mutterings and musing of madness have driven many unlucky souls over the edge and into his waters; there is no denying the palpable unease that settles over the entire Sea of Souls.
Both terrifying and fascinating. I bet it's hauntingly beautiful, in a way, though I don't think I want to travel there.
