Purpose / Function

Castle Ravenloft is Count Strahd von Zarovich's accursed sanctuary. Here, Strahd commited his bloodiest crimes and began the cycle of despair in which all Barovia remains locked.

Denizens

The halls of Castle Ravenloft are haunted by shadows, specters, crawling claws, and Strahd's vampire spawn. Gargoyles and zombies watch the castle's borders.

Defenses

Gargoyles and animated armor guard the castle interior. The entryway is watched by four statues that can animate as small red dragons.
