Disposal Unit

Using the Inter Planar Travel transportation technology, which was discovered by the Vedalken scientist by the name of Triel who is a guild member of the Izzet League, life for citizens of Ravnica has been made simpler and cleaner. With the use of fixed portals at designated drop off locations, citizens are now able to deposit their garbage in reciprocals, called Disposal Units, where the portals magic breaks it into organic molecules, and transports it to the Golgari Swarm. Then the Golgari Swarm, whose assigned duties deal with waste management, turns those organic components into compost for later use. This system makes all garbage 100% degradable, 100% recyclable, and thus makes a safer, healthier Ravnica for all.
Each Disposal Unit is locked away during the day to prevent any unfortunate accidents from occurring. Large bins are placed outside the buildings the Disposal Units are housed in, where citizens can place their trash through out the day. At night, a team of Krauls, a known creature with ties to the Golgari Swarm, can be seen bringing the bins into the buildings to be disposed of. Those buildings, known as Portal Stops, are spread through out every precinct of Ravnica.
Run by the Golgari Swarm, maintained by the Izzet League, and used by every citizen in Ravnica, the Disposal Unit has become a necessary part of everyday life. Now the threat of poisonous landfills destroying the land or toxic waste getting into the water supply is no longer a concern. Citizens can rest easy knowing that their garbage is being properly taken care of and used for the benefit of all.
