Sigswalder
The Sigswalders form the dominant ethnic group within the Holy Gilder Empire, and represent the most populous of the assorted Tusik peoples. Culturally, they trace their roots to the Kingdom of Gilder, a tribal confederation that rallied to the banner of the Great Eagle in opposition to the Great Rook and his realm of Asthuumry. Gilder would in turn become a client of Great Altea, and influenced by the Alteans.
Full-blooded Sigswalders have narrower facial features than other Tusiks, but share their dark skin and hair colors. They are a tall people, though often a head or more shorter than the average Gairovalder. They have dark eyes, almost uniformly black or brown. Most Sigswalders cover their heads in public, and consider elaborate hairstyles to be tawdry.
