Vottiwald

The Duchy of Vottiwald (Tearvin Vôtiwâldny Banahoi) is an elector state of the Holy Gilder Empire. Vottiwald was created in 266 RD with the promotion of Herman I Votti to the rank of Duke by the Emperor Leopold I Karlaginer, whose realms of Greater Jezendt-Pvan had by then grown to include Higbal, Horstban, and Yomedt.
Encompassing the majority of the wealthiest ports of the tradecoast region south of the Bay of Gairoda - the safe harbour for HGE trade north of the ice of Vabrusfinol and toward the lands of Cathlan, Kancha La, Padmathara, and the Free Counties, as well as a significant portion of the River Ach north of the Tachaw. This new Vottiwald entered the Radiant Dawn as a premier trade power. With its co-establishment of the Rajbound League, it has also come to rival that of Ludvico and Zilresco.
Vottiwald borders Bukholte and Janderstaff to the east, Falkwald to the west, and the Estates Imperial and the Palatinate to the south.
