Personal history

Eleteros was born into the Lightning Flight, and is young by many dragons' standards. He kept himself removed from many of the affairs and wars of dragons, climbing the ranks of the Lightning Flight until one day, he became the previous leader's mate. Upon their death, Eleteros took over the position, and gave a proposal to the gods.   Before Eleteros, all users of lightning mana fell under the reign of Vega, the god of fire, or Ryou, the god of wind, depending on region and personal preference. Some fell under neither god, and were left completely unchecked. Eleteros proposed that in order to keep the lightning mana in check, there be a new Elemental God, and that he, as the leader of the Lightning Flight, fill the role. This was also done in a bid to repair the relations between the Flights and the Gods, but unfortunately this did not become a reality. While the gods granted his request, immediately the other dragon flights begged for themselves to be ascended into gods, or outright attacked the new fledged god in a bid to steal his power for their own. Wars broke out between the Flights once more, and were only quelled by removing Eleteros' power and declaring that never again would a dragon become a god.   Eleteros' followers and priests were slain, all lightning mana had their powers stripped and the most vocal and aggressive of them killed as well. The only reason Eleteros' life was spared was due to the dragon's lack of warmongering himself, and he was allowed to continue to lead the Lightning Flight, but worship of him as a god was banned.

Morality & Philosophy

Eleteros is unlike many dragons, in that he does not involve himself in the rest of his kind's warmongering. He is kind to mortals and other dragons alike, solving territorial spats with diplomacy rather than war.

History

JL’s adoration of creativity and innovation makes them a massive fan of Yung’s fashion and the ways Yung also encourages one to create their own styles, which is reflected in their respective cults. JL understands that really changing things will sometimes require risk and failure so they see uplifting amateurs or newbies, even when they fail, as vitally important for fostering a healthy mindset. Similarly, JL’s emphasis on recognition and change also gives him and his cult an idealization of hard work and pursuing one’s own goals. However, the fact that Yung seems to be avoidant about taking any acknowledgment for their own work is maddening for JL and they constantly try, and fail, to hype Yung up. Someone refusing to have the proper amount of pride in their accomplishments also drives JL up the wall. They are constantly asking Yung to speak up, especially since JL themselves speak very loud a majority of the time.     They are known to have gotten into conflicts before due to stepping in to stop or contain conflicts John is involved in. Also, John is much more proactive and known to get involved in the lives of mortals much more often.

Relationship Reasoning

Despite the fact that Eleteros is a disgraced god Morien still has an amicable relationship with him and there is a general alliance between Morien and her cult with Eleteros due to Eleteros still respecting and acknowledging the authority of the gods as well as being kind to mortals and preferring diplomacy. However, worship of Eleteros as a god is still considered blasphemy and will result in due punishment from the Dogged Knights.
