Courtship Ideals

Among those in the lightning flight, the highest form of courtship is a race among thunderstorms, weaving and bobbing through the arcs of lightning and hail. This is incredibly dangerous, and many a dragon has lost their life trying to perform it. As lightning dragons are typically flightless and lacking wings, most of these races take place on the ground in wide open spaces such as fields, with little cover from strikes. The goal is to keep up with their prospective partner and mimic their actions, taking turns to perform moves among the strikes and avoid being hit themselves. Those who harness the lightning are seen as highly skilled and more attractive as a whole.
