Wolfmother Akinra

The Wolfmother, The Wolf's Heir (posthumous)

Divine Domains

Akinra was one of wolf god Ferventi's many children, and among one of his eldest daughters with his mate, Chezira. She was named as one of his potential heirs and had taken up the role of framing her right to be so around her father's aspect as a god of parenthood and protector of children. She was sometimes worshiped alongside her father, despite not being officially named his heir, particularly in shrines or temples dedicated to Ferventi the Father.   Following her death, Akinra is considered to be the main catalyst for worship of her mother, Chezira, being a symbol of the lunar flight's cruelty and danger, worthy of Chezira becoming a god of vengeance.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Akinra. like her father, was tall and well built with a high amount of muscle, but not as much as some of her siblings, such as Odii or Haskala. She often wore thick clothing and robes that disguised her strength, and paired with her personal sense of style, it could be quite unexpected for her to as powerful as she truly was.

Special abilities

As one of Ferventi's heirs, Akinra can take on the form of a massive wolf. Her wolf form is often completely white and only dwarfed by the true form of her father. This is not often seen, however, as she will only use it when the lives of herself or her family are in danger.

Apparel & Accessories

Her clothing is generally in the form of long, thick robes that hide much of her body. These are often accented with shawls or covers over her shoulders, some of which are long enough for her to tie around her waist as well. Akinra favors white, light blue, and pale creams in her clothing and often wears elegant jewelry to match. Unlike many of her siblings, she does enjoy clothing in the styles popular with mortals, and is known to have a vast collection of dresses and suits she will wear from time to time.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

One of the eldest children of Ferventi and his mate Chezira, Akinra had a long history. While much of her early life has been clouded by myth, especially following her death, what is known is that early on she became a priestess of her father, particularly his aspect as a protector of children. She was the primary officiant of festivities in his name, especially for Father's day and revering Ferventi as the pantheon's primary god of fatherhood. These acts became foundational to the figure Akinra later became in his cult, raising abandoned and neglected children herself with the cult's ideals and practices to further go one and become key members of Ferventi's worship. This continued not only with her own children both birthed and adopted, but with her younger siblings as well, such as Odii.

History

Akinra and Amos met when he joined the pack of Ferventi in his teens. They are not particularly close, but do seem to have a decent relationship, most often only interacting during unusually long peacetime, the height of wars, or at meetings of the gods if they should both be present. Despite this, the two seem to respect one another to a high degree, and Akinra is fond of Amos' children, usually showing a much warmer reception to them than she does to him.

History

Akinra was, until recently, one of the eldest still living children of Ferventi on account of her potentially being one of his heirs, and was granted semi-immortality. Akinra though incredibly highly of her father, and he in turn greatly respected her, granting her incredible responsibility over his cult, war parties, and the safety of his other children, many of which, were her full siblings. For many years, she led his cult as the high priest, only retiring from the position to focus on her own family. Many of her siblings were raised among her own children.

Shared Secrets

Ferventi, following her death, has revealed that he and Akinra had actually spoken about the prospects of her being his heir, sharing that she was the only one he believed would not start a bloody conflict with his other children if she was not chosen.

History

Akinra and Aurora have met and worked in tandem many times, often acting as representatives for the Wolf and Fox gods respectively. The two were known to have a deep relationship, coordinating their respective cults to play off of one another's strengths and work in tandem. Their relationship goes far beyond their duties, however, as the two were quite close friends personally.   Aurora is deep in mourning, following her half sister's death.
