Shometria (Shoh-meh-tree-uh)
Shometria is the realm of stories.
It's a vast open expanse, with worlds and planetoids of many shapes and sizes sparsely planted throughout. Many of these planets lay barren. Rough wastelands in a state unfit to sustain life. Which generally stay this way until a powerful being brings a spark to it. These powerful beings tend to be Aephotorans who've recently ascended. Looking to increase their following. However there have been occasional occurrences where Demons, Aebbiranians, Chroniclers, and, even a spark within itself have brought life into a world.
Each being brought to a world tells the story of it's life. A line they follow and create as they are faced with decisions and choices. Each flowing through them and their surroundings they age in their naturally mortal lives. With every line, from start to end, forming together creating the world's story. A story that is read and recorded by Lakhos, The Reader of Destiny. The governor of Shometria, they are often busy reading the Scroll of Fate. Like fate however, the scroll is uncertain. As Time is constantly in flux from the choices entities have at any given moment. This natural flux makes Time Distortion and Variance moderate occurrences.
To ensure the Line stays stable enough Lakhos has agents he sends when he comes upon an echo. Reverberations in Time where some being has somehow managed to escape the natural flow. Even just for a moment. These agents, or Revisionaries, get sent to investigate the disturbance. Returning any misplaced entity to their native moment, or reverting lines if necessary. On rare occasions does a mortal entirely break free from their Timebind. Still stuck within the whole universal cycle, they lose their moment and begin varying through the many lines. These mortals become constant passersby. Stuck walking along an endless path. Meeting and working with other entities for the briefest of periods before disappearing, unlikely to be heard from again.
These passersby and Revisionaries roam the nigh-infinite worlds of Shometria. Often just observing the lines of the world and the stories it holds within. Witnessing life in its truest, least burdened form. Where mortals face few responsibilities other than the trials and tribulations of living to the next day. Occasionally, a passerby or rogue revisionary interferes with a worldly line. Often when this happens, the interference works itself out as Time naturally returns to a stable state. Rarely, the interference causes glitches to occur. Where events or entities fall completely out of line and Time itself needs to intervene.
