C. M. Carver

C.M. Carver is the pen name of unknown author(s). The name writes salacious gossip letters mass produced using different printing technologies. Often the use of a technology leaves possible clues as to the author(s) identity. Starting out as a relatively unknown author the individual(s) have been actively writing for about 8 years. Everything covered in the letters paints the aristocracy in crude, primal and unflattering light. C.M. Carver's initial works garnered very little attention until the article "Is our King really one of us?" In the article C.M. Carver suggested the royal family smelled of circus animals, had fetid breath and was only useful for signing paperwork. C.M. Carver asserted that all houses take turn ruling the throne and house Shadowby is only an ineffective talking headpiece without the brains of a field rat.
Initial attempts to locate C.M. Carver lead to the imprisonment of a local butcher and no other leads. The butcher swore innocence as his name was Charles, he went by Meathead as a loving name from his buddies. Having the initials C.M. added to his shipments and his position listed as a Carver made him the prime suspect. Another lead was a girl by the name of Celeste Malone whose family had been paid a small sum after a noble's errant coach killed the girl on a rural road. The servant Manny Carver was executed for his malfeasance in handling the carriage. His attempt to avoid hitting the girl lead to a broken arm for a member of House Starbury.
