The Hellpit

The Hellpit is a canyon with floor filled with tar sump, most of which are on fire. Valaraukar Half-Orcs have built fortress dwelling into the walls of the canyon and the surrounding land to guard against infernal incursions.

In the largest, deepest pit there is a portal to the The Shadowfell which is open near Stormbridge on the Sea of Tears.

When a certain arcane /astrological alignment is achieved, the portal shifts to the Hell, opening to the Realm Tarfyr in the Abyss.
