Rufus

Rufus was a former lord of Hommlet and adventuring partner with Burne. Rufus was the more political minded of the duo and directly supervised the construction crew that was building the small castle at the southern end of Hommlet. Rufus gained fame and became a local hero after the slaying of a green dragon in the Kron Hills with Burne.
At the time of Viscount Wilfrick's passing in 591 CY, Rufus was obligated to return to the City of Verbobonc to attend the funeral and oversee the process of seeing Wilfrick's son assume his new responsibilities as heir. On the return trip back to Hommlet, Rufus' entourage was attacked by the Crushing Wave Cultists and he was taken to the Temple of Elemental Evil as a prisoner. He was later found dead and mutilated as a ritualistic sacrifice as a part of a ritual to summon Olhydra, an archoelemental known as the Princess of Elemental Plane of Water.
