Y'dey

Cannoness Y'dey is the head cleric of the Church of St. Cuthbert in Hommlet. Y'dey was the head of the church during the times of the Battle of Emridy Meadows and disappeared shortly after. She took on a new identity of "Mother Screng" and lived in Nulb, monitoring the area for signs of renewed cultist activity. Her apprentice Murffles had been captured, and ultimately slain in a water cult ritual, while gathering information about the cultists and her absence prompted Y'dey to go to the Temple of Elemental Evil and join with the Badgers. She helped to resurrect the dragonborn bard Zilloff whom she had reservations about afterwards, saying that she felt the pull of a dark presence within him when she channeled her divine magic. This has led her to be skeptical about a true defeat of Elemental Evil and she continues to preach for the need to be vigilant.
She is a very kindly old woman who is obsequious when dealing with visitors to the church. Her days are mostly spent reading and penning missives to Veluna; she leaves the day to day fellowship and community building in Calmert's hands.
