Gurbith Celrur, the ruler of Kogil, personally visited the Yuan-Ti Authority and came back with a number of foreign treaures - the ability to farm rice being paramount among them. Where one would expect to find wheat, rice paddies now appear. The abundance of rice lends itself to a great amount of trade within the Empire, primarily with the Capital, Kharaatan, to feed its immense population.

Geography

Situated among flat plains and a naturally flooding river, the fields of Kogil generally struggled to grow wheat but the floodplains are now consumed with prospering rice paddies.
