The Zealot's Blade will take time to craft and thus the group takes some downtime. Shin and Shirai go into the mountains to train, Mex and Roxas go back to the arena in Feyreach for a redemption arc, and James of course spends his time crafting the poison. (Due to scheduling conflicts, James leaves to go find himself after this).

James (and Artirro) He returns to Feyreach in order to craft Zealot's Blade from the Primordial Serpent venom. On his way back to Feyreach, he encounters a crashed supply wagon. From the wagon, he scavenges a mysterious glowing orb, a children's book about the creation of the world, and veinrot sprouting from the corpse of the driver. Once back in town, he and Artirro get to work. Black Ivy works as a sealing agent for the Primordial Serpent Venom, then a drop of Sibriex's Bile tops off the concoction. While waiting for the return of his group, James decides to go away on a quest to find himself, leaving behind the Zealot's Blade and the whistle to call Boarfrost (a druid the party saved in Esterwood during a side quest).   Shin (and Shirai) Naturally, they retire to the mountains to train. They take their time in order to enjoy the majesty of their surroundings. First, they find a camel that was seemingly abandoned by its owners. It's carrying a lot of food and other supplies, so the two take it with them. Next, the group notices the trees have peeled bark, and have strange symbols carved into them. Then, they see an orange fog rolling through in the distance. They avoid it just in case it's dangerous. Finally, they encounter a goat wearing a tattered wizard's robes. After the goat eats some of their newly acquired food, namely a tub of butter, it leads them to a small cave where they meet a blind cleric named Rhea. As it turns out, she was blinded by a scorned lover and fallen cleric. She's been keeping the area around her hallowed while she hides. The hallowed ground prevents the fallen cleric from entering along with his undead. Shin and Shirai leave to track down the fallen cleric. They find him in a neighboring mountain after following signs of necromancy and dark energy. They first find his alchemical undead chained to the cave walls. They kill them while still chained. Finding no signs of the cleric in the cave, they lay an ambush until he returns. Once the trap is sprung they get him to surrender through intimidation, rather than fighting him. They march the cleric back to Rhea and the goat and force him to correct Rhea's sight and restore Petrus to a human. Instead of killing the fallen cleric, they spare him and send him to Koledo. Lastly, Shin and Shirai check up on Crystmas, only to see that a group of green dragonborn has joined the town guard. They have a note of Mex vouching for them, so Shin intends to learn more upon reuniting with Mex. The memorial is coming along nicely, especially with the new hands to help. Shin meets with Theodore Graham, who tells him he's working on potions of water-breathing that may help with their upcoming voyage.   Mex (and Roxas) Mex arrives back at Feyreach to redeem himself to The Ring. On his return, however, there is already a match in progress. To his surprise, they've allowed weapons to be used again. Only this time it's an intentional deathmatch. Gary and Gertrude (aka the Green Geckos) are in a match against a green dragonborn, who manages to strike down and kill both of them. Shocked, Mex leaves The Ring ahead of the crowd to find out why weapons are being allowed. He discovers that a wealthy benefactor donated a large sum of money to have weapons brought back. The only description of this benefactor is that he's a quite old red dragonborn. Mex starts to look for the green dragonborn that was fighting in The Ring. He does so, but before he can approach he sees Sharideath preempt him (Sharideath, aka father of Sheridan and aka guy who enslaved Mex). Sharideath takes the green dragonborn's winnings from the match and then the two proceed to leave. Mex, who was hiding among the crowd watching, starts to stealthily follow Sharideath and the green dragonborn. They lead Mex to an old house on the wealthy side of town. He sneaks in and slowly starts to investigate. His "investigation" quickly turns into killing about 15 slavers. He makes it to the end, where Sharideath is hiding, only to find out he has a wife and a newborn son. Mex spares the three and vows that if they ever do this again, he'll kill Sharideath. Mex frees all 12 green dragonborn that were held captive here and sends them to Feyreach to join Shin's guard.
