James has an idea of how to find more information about their captors. Feyreach has a grand library run by a demon of lore- Sibriex. The group gathers supplies and travels to the capital, using the writ James acquired to enter with ease. While there, they're directed to Ixam in order to learn more about Allak and his religious cult. Also, Vishara learns that his spellbook is a "Book of the Leviathan." This information unfortunately leads to his untimely death.

This new information takes about a week to acquire, and the group fills their downtime with sidequests. Namely, James picks up an assassination contract to kill a nobleman's 15-year-old son. He carries it out with lethal precision, resulting in a disruption of power within the nobility. While James is on mission, Shin and Vishara learn about the cult and the book respectively. The most important piece they learn of is that Vishara's book, which is the source of his Warlock powers, is only one of three Books of the Leviathan. When these three books are brought together and a large sacrifice is made, the Leviathan will return to the world and grant you any one desire. Once James learns that this is the case, he personally murders Vishara in order to prevent what he thought could be the end of the world. This act backfires as a beacon erupts from Vishara's body and Zhalsuth shows up to claim the book. While he's successful in obtaining his 2nd Book of the Leviathan, further destruction is prevented when Salethar shows up and punishes him for attempting to raze Feyreach ahead of schedule.
