This beautiful city located atop the largest plateau in Rhydar, the Atla Plateau. This crystalline city is the capital for the entire Kingdom of Atla.

Demographics

Almost all Atlans are of higher class and either work under the King directly, as nobles and military officials, or diplomatic officials. Most people seen in the city are tourist who come to visit the city. An ethnic Atlan can be spotted by the natural white hair atop their head, from their Forebearer ancestry.

Government

  The city is ruled directly by the Polaris royal family. Though because the royal family must rule over the entire kingdom as well, the Loais family is often left to rule the city, acting as its "Head Family".

Defences

The Anniy River runs directly through the base of the city, making it very easy for military from Kymba to reach the capital. Although usually military officials roam the streets around the clock anyway. There is also only one way to enter the city, from the gates and bridges that cross over the Anniy, as the rest of the city is surrounded by a large wall.

ATLAN DEFENDERS

The city also has an elite class of ethnic Atlan soldiers, known as the Atlan Defenders, that roam the city as well as serve as the royal families guards. They are Almne's main line of defense.

Industry & Trade

Most of the inhabitants work for the government or as nobles. However, there are the "Lower Class Atlans" who work and own the various shops and hotels around the city.

Infrastructure

Downtown Almne is very modern and filled with the richest shops and food markets from all over Atla, as people from all over travel to tour the plateau region and the city's ancient architecture. The historical section of Almne is, closest to the Polaris Castle, consists mostly of many different structures that were built entirely out of Lilite from the times of the Forebearers and King Molan I, some were even still used as recent as the days of King Leon V. All these building, however, were retired after his death.

History

King Molan I

_{Queen Nila Polaris, first Polaris queen, possessed a full pink glow that all Polaris possessed. But as the generations passed, this color faded until King Leon V only possessed a pink hue while using his Heaven's Glaze}

With King Molan Polaris finding the Sword of Atla, he built a beautiful castle and tall walls to protect it, creating the first borders of the city of Almne. After uniting the Atlan peoples under the Polaris flag, he created the rest of the city with the help of the Atlans.

Polaris Kingdom

_{Known as Queen Eira the Bound, mother of Riana the Vengeful, she was the last Polaris to possess any pink traits, with her faint pink eyes. She was also known as one of the only Polaris rulers to not fully access her Heaven's Glaze.}

As the Kingdom began to grow, and the Atlan population began to explode as a result, many moved to other cities within the new kingdom. However, many stayed within the city, and as a result, King Avelon III had the modern borders of the city of Almne built, extending its borders out from the original Lilite one.

Kingdom Under Atla

The city of Almne had served as the capital for the Polaris Kingdom for almost six hundred years, and after the signing of the Treaty of Krisie, it was agreed that it would continue to serve as the capital of the new Kingdom Under Atla.

Tourism

Historical Section

Most people who travel to Almne as tourist visit to see the historical district of Almne. The historical section of the city, which houses the Polaris Castle, is entirely made of pure Lilite and bordered by large Lilite walls. It also houses the largest concentration of both Atlan Defenders and Atlan Nightguard.

Architecture

Apart from the historical section, which is carved entirely out of Lilite, the city has various other buildings that are still standing and used which were built during the time of King Avelon III.

Geography

Almne is located in the central region of the Atla Plateau, being founded by the Polaris Forebearers and King Molan.

Natural Resources

Due to the location of the city, it almost entirely relies on outside exports from various cities, mostly Brida and Kaika, for food and various other supplies.

Name

_{Atlea Viaris-Polaris, Molan's first wife, also died, along with Almne, during the childbirth.}
The city's name Almne, meaning great sleeper, was named after Molan Polaris and Atlea Viaris's first child, Almne. However, Almne died in childbirth due to the cold unforgiving Atlan winter. This was the catalyst for Molan's quest that lead him to the Sword of Atla and becoming future King. Using the powers of the sword he built the original borders of the city and the Polaris Castle, naming the city after his unborn daughter.
