The Azure
The Azure is the first tavern and hotel that those arriving at the capital from the South East find. it catches the eye with its grand entrance of shaped saphires that are braided in a tall archway.The Foyer is a bright room with marble columns and shimmering chandeliers, casting a warm glow upon the rooms curious decor.
The tavern area of the Azure sits beneath soaring artesonado ceilings of meticulously overlapping carved beams of wood. Richly embroidered tapestries depicting scenes from Rhye's many epic stories hang down the lengths of the tall walls. Orange-gold velvet drapes frame the tall windows.
At the center of the tavern stands a magnificent bar carved from magically tended azure wood, polished to a high sheen and adorned with intricate carvings of swirling seas. Behind the bar, shelves are lined with an impressive array of exotic spirits, rare wines, and magical elixirs, served by staff lead by Nora of the Court of Jade, who crafts potions and concoctions to delight the senses.
Guests can relax in leather armchairs by crackling fireplaces, savoring the aroma of exotic spices and roasted meats wafting from the kitchen. Live minstrels serenade patrons with haunting melodies and lively tunes, adding to the ambiance of the tavern. On choice dates, famouse bards and performing bands take up the raised stage in front of a packed audience, windows behind them providing a dramatic view of the Royal Palace through blue tinted glass.
Upstairs, the Azure hotel offers luxurious accommodations. Each room is elegantly appointed with velvet furnishings, azure wood carved four-poster beds draped in silken canopies, and unique accents that evoke the colors of the sea and sky. En-suite bathrooms feature marble bathtubs and gilded fixtures, and room service is insisted upon.
Guests can enjoy unparalleled views of the cityscape from the rooftop terrace, where well tended gardens and cascading fountains create a tranquil oasis amidst the hustle and bustle below.
