Zaron

Created by Nathan
The city of Zaron, capital to the Kingdom of Zaron, the home thirty-eight thousand people, located in the arid Azern Desert in the south-eastern part of Darst.   The burning sun rises from the north, scorching the windswept sands of the Azern Desert. The rays peeked through the sandstone buildings, lighting up the sandy pathways of the desert city. The buildings whisper as the wind casts sands upon the hard walls.   Above the houses, there are channels that are filled with water, their contents flowing into the homes and shops of the city. The streets are empty with people staying in the shadows of buildings to shade themselves from the heat. Stores line the streets and they sell their wares to the trough of people that take cover under the tarps of the stores.   An arena stands in the centre of the city, and cheers can be heard from the audience, as the gladiators battle under the burning sun. Near the arena is a large building filled with cages and slaves. The slaves all lay in their cages, broken. Buyers walk among them looking for servants and workmen for their households.   And as the sun sets, the night comes and the air cools to a chill. The streets are crowded and filled with people all out now that the sun has left the city. Caravans that carry food and water to the city come in and sell their cargo. They spend the night gambling and drinking and they leave the next day with the slaves.   Welcome to Zaron, the city of the sands, of the Kingdom of Zaron by the power of the Zaronian Crown.
