Cathedral of St Habakkuk
At dawn on the summer solstice, the front doors of the Cathedral of St Habakkuk are thrown open - briefly, because even in summer the weather remains cold - to let in the first light of the longest day. The high wall surrounding the small burial grounds outside opens into a wrought-iron fence to look out over a scree down towards the water, allowing what little sunshine there is to shine in through the cathedral's double-glazed panoramic window.
