2023 Pride Month

This article was originally published to wow that's a lot of stars and transferred here a year later. Since writing this article, I've shifted how I approach queer representation in my sci-fi setting, with fewer direct labels and more showing of someone's gender and sexuality through their stories.

In honor of Pride Month this year, I posted and promoted articles about queer characters in my worlds. Though I enjoyed it, I also learned writing a big article every week makes my writing brain very tired and I should give myself more bite-sized goals in the future. (They say, right before Summercamp...)

My final post was a short story for Roleplay Radio. My character is a tiefling from an underprivileged background, and in this story, we go back in time a few years to watch an awkward teenage date that definitely goes exactly to plan.

Though not technically for pride month, I played an agender character in The Varsity Knights, a superhero-based miniseries that aired this month. Nell is 100% a 'thembo' and I had so much fun playing them.
