Patina

Patina is a small city in the Vault Supernal, situated to the northwest of the Rasp. It is known to be the city home to the most begotten gods in the world, who make up fully 40% of the population. Despite this infamy, Patina is of little consequence and is rarely, if at all, even considered a remote threat to the safety of other realms.

Demographics

Approximately 40% of the population of Patina are begotten gods. Despite their numbers, they are not particularly dangerous to anyone but themselves. They are the gods of dead peoples and dead faiths who have waned so much in their power and influence that they are but shades of their old selves who await the inevitable unraveling of their beings.   The rest of Patina's population is comprised of divine attendants such as angels, spirits, and various forms of construct. Some accompany their god and care for them as they wane. Most are the attendants of gods that have long since faded. These ones have no memory of the gods they once served and only persist because the city somehow sustains them. Adrift without a god to attend to, they turn their efforts to caring for the waning divinities that reside in the city.

History

Patina is a city built on top of a realmhusk. None remember the founder, only that they were the god of the realmhusk upon which the city now stands, long dead and long forgotten. In the eons since, countless gods have come and gone, each one leaving their mark on the dull stones and crumbling edifices, but never their memory.
