The
Nanfeng Council building bombing was a military attack on the newly established council during the Rizan-Nanfeng war. A group of four Nanfeng spies living in
Riza had attacked the council building using remote detonation devices. The attack killed several people present in the building including
Zuzana Nováková, a member of the council.
@ARK Involvement
The true background of the bombing was quickly and decisively covered up by ARK and
Halvar Koit. Following the failure of one of Koit's previous proposals which would allow for the expansion of the covert surveilance of
Rizan citizens, Koit assigned a secret mission to PU-002. The unit would attack the council building under the guise of being Nanfeng spies, in hopes that Koit would be able to use the attack as justification that he - as the Officer of War - knows what's best for Riza during the Rizan-Nanfeng war. Koit used the attack as pretense to propose (and pass) the first council amendment which would allow the Officer of War to overturn council decisions during wartime.
The convicts used for the mission were then apprehended and secretly executed by Koit so the truth of the attack could never get out to the public.
