Five Dragon Gods
In the ancient past, the world was ruled by the five Dragon Brothers - Longwang, Shanlung , Talung, Dongwulong, and Yunlung. Longwang, the Eldest, was the most fierce and had platinum scales. He commanded the oceans and seas, creating all the creatures within them and protecting sailors from danger. In his great palace in the Eastern Ocean, he inspired those who sought justice for others.
Shanlung, the second youngest, was the largest of the brothers with copper scales. He hoarded treasures for the Jade God in his Palace of Diamonds, gathering knowledge of all kinds of strange magic in his study. In the early days of Rolara, he even molded continents with his huge claws and strong body.
Talung, the second oldest, was the greatest in length with bright golden scales. He had the important task of creating all the beasts of the lands and ruling over them. However, feeling pity for starving humans, Talung sacrificed his physical body and became the Tabotze River. Some believe that as both an Immortal of The Celestial Administration and a Dragon, his act only destroyed his physical form.
Dongwulong, the middle brother with bronze scales, also created beasts of the land and ruled over them. He was associated with the morning dew, as all dragons are with water.
Finally, there was Yunlung, the wild and untamed youngest brother with Silver scales. At first, he rejected the title of God, considering it beneath him. However, he was brought to heel by his fiercest elder brother, Longwang, and agreed to bring storms to the world as the Storm Cloud Dragon.
Together, these Dragon Gods were commanded by Heavenly Edict to perform duties on behalf of the Jade God, and their power and influence were felt throughout the ancient world.
